SM Minute
At the end of each meeting, the Scoutmaster of a Troop is expected to impart a small amount of wisdom on the young and impressionable minds of the scouts. Now that is a scary thought. However, as it is part of the job, I figured I would do my best.
So for the first meeting, here is how it went (basically).
Gentlemen,
As we prepare for camp, we all need to recognize that it can be a long week and we all get tired. With fatigue comes irritable and sensitive attitudes. So, make it a point to respect each other and each other's belongings and we can all have a good time at camp.
That means each scouts needs to be aware of their own behavior and how it will impact the other scouts both physically and emotionally. Be positive and positive things will happen not only to you but to those around you, be negative and misery is sure to follow.
Scout Strong!
